Air India Flights

Originally established as Tata Sons in 1932, then renamed Tata Air Services in 1938, it finally became a public limited company under the name Air India in 1946 after World War II. India then went on to gain independence in 1948, following with the acquisition of 49% of the airline’s shares by the India Government.

In 1993, Air India made history by operating the first non-stop flight between New York and Delhi. It wasn’t until after 2007 that Air India (which operated mainly international flights) and Indian Airline (which operated mainly domestic flights) came under the control of one unified body.

Air India operates 60 domestic flights and 31 international flights in 19 countries across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
