Online check-in is available from 48 hours to 90 minutes before SilkAir departures. This service is not available for passengers under 17 unaccompanied by an adult, those travelling in groups of 10 or more, or passengers who need special assistance.

If you prefer to check in at the airport, the opening and closing time of SilkAir counters depends on the airport you're flying from.

Seat selection is free for all fare classes during the online check-in period, from 48 hours to 90 minutes before the flight.

If you want to secure your preferred seat in advance, this may carry a fee depending on your fare class and club membership tier:

  • Economy Lite passengers can pay to select Standard or Forward Zone seats.

  • Economy Standard passengers can select Standard Seats for free or pay for the Forward Zone.

  • Economy Flexi passengers can select both types of seats for free.

  • Business travellers have complimentary seat selection in the business area.

The cabin bag allowance is 1 piece for economy class and 2 pieces for business class. These must not weigh over 7kg each or be larger than 115cm in total measurements, and should be able to fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front.

The checked baggage allowance for most destinations is 30kg for Standard and Lite economy fares, 35kg for Flexi fares and 40kg in business class. This excludes flights to the USA. All allowances are increased for members of the PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members.
