Scoot flights & airline information

Flying with Scoot

Scoot is a low-cost airline that serves medium and long-haul flights to and from Singapore. Based at Terminal 2 of Singapore Changi Airport, Scoot is owned by flag carrier Singapore Airlines and shares its KrisFlyer loyalty program.

Scoot was founded in 2012 and absorbed fellow low-cost carrier Tigerair in 2017. It has an affiliate airline in Thailand, NokScoot, and is part of the Value Alliance.

Why fly with Scoot?

Scoot is often a cheaper alternative to Singapore's full-price carriers Singapore Airlines and SilkAir. As it's grown, Scoot has also offered exclusive routes, such as flights between Singapore and Berlin launched in June 2018. Passengers can also choose from a range of seat classes, including ScootBiz business class and Scoot in Silence quiet zones.

Why fly with Scoot

Scoot check in

Online check-in is currently only available for direct flights from Singapore Airport. You can check in between 72 hours and 1 hour before your scheduled departure. You still need to head to the airline counter to have your travel documents verified and any baggage checked.

For passengers checking in at the airport, counters open 3 hours before and close 1 hour before your flight. Self check-in kiosks are available at Singapore Airport for all flights except those to Jeddah, and these can be used from 18 hours to 70 minutes before your flight.

Passengers who want priority check-in and boarding privileges can pay for Scoot's BoardMeFirst service at select airports.

All passengers can take 2 carry-on items onto the plane. Economy passengers are entitled to up to 10kg in total, but another 7kg can be purchased if needed. ScootBiz passengers can take up to 15kg. The total linear dimensions of your cabin bags must not exceed 115cm.

The checked baggage allowance is 20kg for economy (FlyBag and FlyBagEat) fares and 30kg for ScootBiz fliers. All passengers can purchase up to 40kg of baggage in total, as long as no single item exceeds 32kg or 158cm in total dimensions.
