Aberdeen Airport

The gateway to the northeast of Scotland, Aberdeen Airport (ABZ) is approximately 11 km / 7 miles to the northwest of central Aberdeen, close to Drumligair, Persley and Overton. The airport is a single-terminal facility that has links to most other UK cities, the Northern Isles and Scandinavia, as well as being an important helicopter base to the North Sea oil fields at the nearby Bloomfield Terminal.

Over 35 different destinations being served from the airport's single passenger terminal and the number is set to increase year on year. Aberdeen Airport has recently opened 24 hours a day, with both arrivals and check-in situated on the ground floor amid updated, centralized facilities. In recent years, Aberdeen Airport has become Scotland's fastest growing, and now handles over three million aircraft passengers and around 500,000 helicopter passengers per year in support of the North Sea oil and gas industry.

The closest train station to Aberdeen Airport is Dyce Station where trains going to Aberdeen and Inverness often depart, connecting cities around both Scotland and England. Bus companies like First Aberdeen and Stagecoach Bluebird have services into the city centre throughout the week, although less frequent during the weekend.

If you are unable to catch a bus at the time of your arrival, you always have the option of taking a taxi. Operated by local Rainbow Airport Taxis, these depart from just outside the terminal building.
