The Campbell River Water Aerodrome or Campbell River Harbour Airport is an airport adjacent to Campbell River in British Columbia, Canada. The airport is classified as an airport of entry, which means that the airport provides customs and immigration services for incoming flights, and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency. The airport can only handle general aviation aircraft with no more than 15 passengers per landing. The Campbell River Water Aerodrome is a private airport operated by Corilair Charters Ltd., and by its name, there are no regular scheduled flights in the area, only chartered flights to various points in Canada. The airport is part of the water airport system in the region, with Canada having more than a handful of flights in the country. If opting to fly down to British Columbia, it is more convenient to land on major airports than water aerodromes due to the fact that regular airports have more services and access to many other flight carriers. It is also suggested to take public airports as they tend to have lower taxes and airport usage fees, as well as other conveniences.
There are no terminals in the airport, only a main building where the immigration office is housed.
Services and Facilities
Aside from the aviation services of the airport, the Campbell River Water Aerodrome also offers customs and immigration services for incoming flights manned by the Canada Border Services Agency.
