London Stansted Airport is a public airport situated in Stansted Mountfitchet, in the local government district of Uttlesford in the Essex County. The airport is situated 48 kilometres northeast of central London. It is owned by Manchester Airports Group and operated by Stansted Airport Limited. London Stansted Airport serves as a base for several European low-cost carriers, and is the largest base for the low-cost airline Ryanair.

Adventure Island - Adventure Island, formerly Peter Pan's Playground then Peter Pan's Adventure Island, is a free-admission amusement park in Essex. The park features 32 rides, including rollercoasters, twisters, drops, spin rides, and water rides, as well as food establishments, and a gift shop.
Tropical Wings Zoo - Tropical Wings Zoo is a family-run zoo in Essex. The zoo features several zones, namely Birds of the World, Jungle Room, Discovery Trail, Kalahari Kats, the Flying Zone, Tropical House, Wallaby Walk, Children's Farm Yard, and a Play Zone for kids. There used to be flights between Stansted and cities in America, but American Airlines withdrew from the airport, and the airlines MAXjet, which had provided flights to Washington, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, and Eos Airlines, which had provided flights to New York, ceased operations.

London Stansted Airport provides flights out of Stansted to over 100 destinations. Aside from Ryanair, airlines that use Stansted Airport include Air Moldova, Aurigny Air Services, easyJet, Flybe, Freebird Airlines, Germanwings, Onur Air, Pegasus Airlines, Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomson Airways, and Titan Airways. These airlines provide regular passenger service, as well as seasonal services.
