Turkey offers tourists excellent cuisine, exciting bazaars, a profound culture, and beautiful beaches.

Where to go

Sultan Ahmed Mosque – The Sultan Mosque is a historical mosque in Istanbul, otherwise known as the Blue Mosque due to the blue tiles adorning its interior walls. There is no entry charge. However, it is still an active place of worship apart from being a popular tourist attraction, so the mosque is closed to non-worshippers for approximately 90 minutes at least four times a day. Always remember to wear modest clothing and to remove your shoes before entering the mosque in respect to the Muslim tradition.

Patara Beach – For soft, warm sand on your feet and shallow waters to swim and play around in, head off to one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast of the Turkish Riviera. The beach is protected from development due to its important role as a turtle nesting beach, which means it is closed during breeding season, specifically after sunset from May to October.

Istanbul Archaeology Museums – The group of three archaeological museums in the Eminonu district of Istanbul is made of the main Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the Ancient Orient, and the Museum of Islamic Art. Collectively, they contain over one million objects that represent various eras and civilisations in world history, including artefacts from pre-Greek Anatoli and Mesopotamia, from the Archaic era to the Roman era, from pre-Islamic Egypt, and from the Seljuk and Ottoman Eras.
