Following famous aviator Charles Lindbergh’s snub that Vancouver had “no fit field to land on,” construction began in April 1930 on a single, 730-metre runway and small wood-frame administration building crowned by a control tower, on Sea Island in Richmond that would eventually become Vancouver International Airport.
Today, 62 airlines including British Airways, Cathay Pacific and KLM, serve Vancouver International Airport (YVR), connecting approximately 17 million people to 99 destinations in Canada, the U.S. and around the world.
With free Wi-Fi and over 160 shops and services available, you can rest assured that you will not be bored whilst waiting for your flight at the Vancouver International Airport.
