What is the best time to visit Hawaii?

Arriving in Hawaii

Honolulu Airport (HNL) is the international gateway to Hawaii. If you're going to another airport such as Kahului Airport (OGG) or Kona Airport (KOA), flights from New Zealand connect in Honolulu first.

Honolulu Airport is 5km from Honolulu city centre. You can get from the airport to the city by public bus (US$2.50) or taxi (US$25). To Waikiki hotels, buses cost US$9 and taxis up to $50.

While at the airport, you can take out cash or exchange currency, get a bite to eat or browse the duty-free stores. Wiki Wiki ("quick quick" in Hawaiian) buses offer free transport around the terminals.
