New Hampshire is a state in the New England region of the north-eastern section of the United States. New Hampshire is the fifth smallest and the ninth least populous of the 50 United States. The state was named after the southern English county of Hampshire.

New Hampshire is known internationally for the New Hampshire primary, the first primary in the United States Presidential election cycle. Concord is the state capital, while Manchester is the largest city in the state. It has no general sales tax,nor is personal income taxed at either the state or local level. Outdoor activities in New Hampshire – Skiing is the most popular activity in New Hampshire, particularly in its New England region. Most of its tourism efforts are concentrated on this activity, with some of the largest ski mountains on the East Coast located in Vermont. Snow mobile riding, and other winter sports, are also popular here. Apart from winter activities, extreme sports, including hiking and mountaineering, motor sports, and fishing are some of the popular activities here. People come down near lakes and stay in summer cottages along the sea-coast, while others visit and drive their way through the Appalachian Trail and the White Mountain National Forest.

Motorcycle devotion in New Hampshire – New Hampshire is a place that is unlikely to be the venue of motorcycle activities due to its small size – however, the irony is lost here. It is actually one of the more known motor sports venues, and enthusiasts from all over the land flock to have a look at the local events. In particular, Motorcycle Week, a popular rally held in Weirs Beach near Laconia is held every June. The Motorcycle Week draws crowds from all over the United States to witness exhibitions, activities, and of course, races.

Strawbery Banke Historic District – The Strawbery Banke is an outdoor history museum located in the south end historic district of Portsmouth in New Hampshire. It is the oldest neighbourhood remaining in the present-day city, which features more than 40 restored buildings between the 17th and 19th centuries in the Colonial, Georgian, and Federal style architectures. The buildings once clustered around a waterway known as Puddle Dock, which was filled in around 1900. Note that not all houses are open to public, and only 10 can be visited. All 10 houses are furnished with historic interiors, and an accompanying tour teaches each guest the history and lifestyle of each house and how it reflects the social changes of its time period. Within the district, there are also formal exhibits in archaeology, architecture, woodworking tools and skills, post-and-beam construction, and amusements and entertainment.

Franconia Notch State Park – The Franconia Notch State Park is located in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. It is a spectacular mountain pass traversed by a unique parkway, which extends from the Flume Gorge at the south to Echo lake at the north. For eight miles, I-93 winds between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges. The park is famous for its outdoor experience activities, its beautiful sceneries, and its aerial tramway.

The easiest way to get around New Hampshire is by car. Bus and train services are also available, although limited. Taxis are mainly available from the city centres.

The main airport serving the region is the Manchester – Boston Regional Airport. It is a convenient way to get to the city and much of southern New Hampshire. Airlines that serve the airport include Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, Southwest Airlines, United Express, and US Airways Express.
