Ohio is one of the 50 United States of America, located in the Midwest region of the country. It is the 34th largest state by area, the seventh most populous, and the 10th most densely populated state. Lake Erie and the Ohio River form natural boundaries to the north and south respectively. Ohio is also bordered by the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The name was derived from the Iroquois word ohi-yo, meaning 'great river' or 'large creek'.

Cedar Point - Cedar Point is an amusement park situated on 365 acres on a Lake Erie peninsula in Sandusky, Ohio. The park was opened in 1870, making it the second-oldest operating amusement park in the country. It is known as "America's Roller Coast", with 72 rides, 16 of which are roller coasters (including four roller coasters taller than 200 feet). The park also features a one-mile long white-sand beach, and outdoor water park (called Soak City), and indoor water park (called Castaway Bay), two marinas, and several nearby resorts.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park - Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Cuyahoga County and Summit County is the only national park in Ohio. It is a United States National Park, and ranks as the fifth most frequently visited park in the National Park System. The park encompasses 134 square kilometres, with very diverse landscape and over 3,000 species of plants. Cuyahoga Valley National Park's wildlife includes dozens of bird species, beaver, and deer.

Akron Art Museum - Akron Art Museum in Akron was first opened to the public on February 1, 1922 as the Akron Art Institute. The institute offered classes in arts appreciation at the time. The new museum was opened on July 17, 2007, with 1,900 square metres of gallery space and today hosts visiting shows from national and international collections.

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden - Opened in 1875, the zoo and botanical garden in Cincinnati is the second oldest zoo in the country. The Reptile House, dating from 1875, is the oldest zoo building in the United States. The zoo conducts breeding programs and is one of the world's most successful breeding zoos. The program includes cheetahs, California sea lions, Sumatran rhinoceros, western lowland gorillas, and Malayan Tigers.

Most of Ohio is easy to access by car. Car rental agencies can be found at the airport, booked online, or found in the main cities. Most of the larger cities are served with public mass transit system.

There are several airports serving Ohio, depending on which area you plan to arrive in. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is the main airport serving Cleveland and is the largest in Ohio. It is served by all the domestic airlines and Air Canada Express, with connections all over the country and to Toronto. Port Columbus International Airport is located in downtown Columbus, with flights to and from cities all over the United States and Toronto as well. Other airports in Ohio are James M. Cox Dayton International Airport, and Akron-Canton Regional Airport.
