Stewart International Airport is a public/military airport serving Hudson Valley in Orange County, New York, United States. It is located in the Town of Newburgh and the Town of New Windsor. The military portion of the airport is known as Stewart Air National Guard Base (Stewart ANGB).
The Hudson Valley includes the valley of the Hudson River and its adjacent communities, from the cities of Albany and Troy to Yonkers in Westchester County. It is divided into three regions: Lower, Middle, and Upper Hudson. Lower Hudson comprises of Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam; Mid-Hudson comprises of Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan; and Upper Hudson, or Capital District, comprises of Columbia, Greene, Rensselaer, and Albany.
What to see & do
Camping - Windsor has several camping areas, including Forest Lake Campground in 574 Ostrander Road, Lakeside Campground in 336 Hargrave Road, and Pine Crest Camping Area in State Route 79.
Golfing - Play a round of golf at the Golden Oaks Golf Club. The 18-hole golf course has a slope rating of 119.
Karpeles Manuscript Museum - The Karpeles Manuscript Museum in Newburgh houses the Dona McPhillips Historical Painting Series. This includes several portraits of famous and significant Americans grouped together, such as Indian Heroes, Founding Fathers, Pathfinders, Pioneers, Blacks, and Women.
Washington Park Historic District - The Washington Park in Albany is the city's premier park. It dates back to the city charter in 1686 and has been used for several purposes such as gunpowder storage, parade grounds, and even a cemetery. Today, it is the venue for many festivals and gatherings. The park also contains several monuments, its first being Dr. James H. Armsby Memorial. Other monuments are the bronze Robert Burns Statue, the King Memorial Fountain, and Soldiers’ and Sailors' Monument. Washington Park has open spaces used by visitors for various recreational activities, including for volleyball and badminton games. There are courts for tennis, basketball, and handball, and when it freezes over, Washington Park Lake can be ice skated on (swimming, however, is prohibited).
Hudson River Maritime Museum - The Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston features exhibits on the maritime history of the Hudson River. It also contains collections of artefacts and information on the regional industries that depended on the river for transportation.
How to get around
A few commuter ferry services are available down the Hudson River, although the primary way of crossing the river is by using the bridges. In some parts of Hudson Valley, public transport is either very poor or virtually non-existent. Westchester County has a bus system.

It receives flights from St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport in Pinellas County, Florida; Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport between Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Dania Beach; Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida; and Philadelphia International Airport in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
