Fort St John Airport, also called North Peace Regional Airport or North Peace Airport, is the aviation facility located in the city of Fort St. John in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The public airport is operated by the North Peace Airport Services Ltd. It resides at an elevation of 2,280 ft (695 m) above mean sea level and is equipped with two runways: one, which has a designation of 11/29, measures 6,909 ft x b 150 ft (2,106 m x 46 m), while the other, which has a designation of 02/20, measures 6,698 ft x 200 ft (2,042 m x 61 m). Both runways have an asphalt surface.
The city of Fort St. John is located in northeastern area of British Columbia. It covers a total area of approximately 22 square kilometres and is one of the largest cities along the Alaska Highway. The city was originally established as a trading post in 1794, making it the oldest European-established settlement in modern British Columbia.

North Peace Leisure Pool - The North Peace Leisure Pool, owned by the Peace River Regional District and operated by the city of Fort St. John, consists of a pool for general leisure and a 25-metre lap pool. The maximum depth of the leisure pool is 1.5 metres. There is also a small bubble pool adjacent to the larger pool for small children. The lap pool consists of six lanes. There are also two full-size water slides, a whirlpool, sauna, and steam room, as well as a cardio fitness room and a meeting room.
Beatton Provincial Park - The Beatton Provincial Park is located on Charlie Lake. There is a picnic area, beach area, pit toilets, fire rings, drinking water, and a playground for children. Activities available at the park include swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, and windsurfing.
Fort St John North Peace Museum - The museum is devoted to the history of the Fort St. John region, from the settlements of the First Nations to the oil and gas industries today. The museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation, and exhibition of items relating to the history of the North Peace River area.
It contains a small archive of books, newspapers, newspaper clippings, cemetery records, obituaries, maps, pamphlets, photographs, and other materials that will help you understand the history of the region. There is a gift shop containing local history books, souvenirs, and even jewellery and clothing.
How to get around within Fort St John
Fort St. John is well served by bus service provided by BC Transit. Visitors who would prefer independent travelling can rent cars from the local car hire agencies based at the airport. Much of North Peace is well connected by road, making car rental a great way to explore the region.
