Such a relaxing holiday. Was only there for a week but wish I could have stayed longer!
Rent a motorbike and cruise around it with some snorkle gear in your seat. Very low key for the main island. Beautiful beaches, biodiverse reefs, and easy to find solitude.
If you could picture heaven ,then Rarotonga is the place to go,My wife and I ,and two friends just visited not long ago.The people are awesome and the island is full of fun things to do and see,we hired scoters as cheap to run and was so much fun to ride around the island, the water is crystal clear and the food at all the cafe and resturants we went to was superb. We enjoyed captian tamas glass bottom boat tour, and a relaxing massage on the beach with Jenny and hemi. The Te varanui village show and dinner was truely awesome .have a good look around the shops before you buy as there are some bargins to be had.the night markets are fun and if you can get to a church service as the singing is beautiful. The people on the island take pride in thier wonderland and you often see them sweeping the street outside thier homes .Island time is wonderful as it makes you unwind and relax, you will find trader jacks by the harbour it is an awesome bar with great food and views.climb the needle its an experience like no other,i wish now we had gone for longer than 8 days so if you have the time stay for along time you wont regret it.visit the botanical gardens and hopefully the cafe there is reopened by now as it is a great spot, book early as prices rise quickly,go on check it out now and go
There aren't many places in the world that are as blessed with such friendly local people, a diverse range of tribal cultures spread across small islands, fantastic waves and sea life, and incredible gospel music ringing out of the churches! This archipelago is one of the many highlights of the pacific islands, but it has a unique vibrancy that i will never forget!
