Skradin is the gateway to Krka national park, but in itself also a nice place to spend some time. A town with a long history as is was a Liburnian or Illyrian town, before it became an important roman city("Scardona"). It is now a very small town (one main street only), cosy and relaxed, with a big yacht harbour attached. The boats to Skradinski Buk, the entry point to Krka national park leave here. Scradin is also know as a favourite holiday spot for Bill Gates if that trivial fact interests you. It has only a few hotels/pensions, and several appartments for hire. It can be reached by car, boat or public transport (from Sibenik).
