Puerto Vallarta is a very beautiful seaside town in México which is also very safe in tourist areas.

A great Mexican city that has so much to offer in terms of food, shopping and nightlife. This is also a very tolerant city for LGBTQ people, which I would recommend if you are looking for a comfortable place in Mexico.

If you're looking for a local and authentic expierence, Puerto Vallarta isn't the place for you as it's basically a less developed / exploited version of Cancun or Cabo San Lucas. It's mostly all inclusive resorts by the beach for retirees 60+ and families with young kids.
