Paihia is an amazingly beautiful town. The whole Bay of Islands is like that. It's a great little town that has a real charisma about it and it's just a quick trip on a rather cute little ferry across to Russell if you get bored. Make sure you go exploring to Kerikeri and get out to the Peninsula's like Opito Bay. Make sure you see KeriKeri falls. This place get's a bit dead in the off season, so if you're wanting to do all the activities bear in mind a lot of them aren't running outside of New Zealand's short little summer.

Paihia is a gorgeous sea side township located in the North Island of New Zealand, it also leads to the Bay of Islands. The weather was absolutely stunning and waters are so clear. The town is the epitome of a relaxing beach town. The town consists of a main street with all the necessary supplies for a wonderful holiday and an information center ready to assist tourists and travellers alike. Upon arrival there was also an Arts and Craft market taking place which had numerous unique items for sale. The town also has activities such as kayaking, paddling, swimming, helicopter rides and sailing. It is highly recommended to stay at least three days during the summertime.
