Departing from Auckland

Auckland International Airport (AKL) is New Zealand's largest airport. It has 2 separate terminals handling domestic and international flights. A free shuttle bus runs between these terminals every 15 minutes.

Auckland to Christchurch flights depart from the Domestic Terminal. This terminal is open every day of the year from 5am to 11pm and features a food court, cafes, shops and free Wi-Fi to help you pass the time. As you enter the terminal, Air New Zealand check-in counters are on your left and Jetstar check-in is on the right.

Christchurch Airport (CHC) has a single terminal for all flights, divided into domestic and international sections. The domestic section closes after the last flight of the day, usually around 11pm.
