Auckland Airport
Auckland international airport is 45 minutes to an hour from downtown Auckland with an airport bus leaving every 10 minutes between 7am and 7pm on weekdays from the Britomart terminal. Outside of those times on public holidays and on weekends the bus leaves every half hour. The airport is considered well appointed and family friendly with a choice of food outlets.

Orlando Airport has two terminals with a number of ground transportation options. Public buses are the cheapest costing US$2 for each destination including Seaworld and Florida Mall approximately 45 minutes away. Buses can also be used to get near the Amtrak and Greyhound stations. There are also fixed price shuttles, taxis and private limousines for hire. A taxi to the Disney Resorts will cost about US$52-68 and about $38-$45 to the downtown Orlando area. Orlando hotels and rental cars can be booked at the airport arrivals area.

● Time and climate difference between Orlando and Auckland – Auckland is 17 hours ahead of Orlando. Be prepared for heat and humidity arriving in Orlando from Auckland especially in June, July and August. Orlando has a humid subtropical climate with a rainy season from July to September.
● Travel requirements – Travellers will need a current passport and US visa. Check in for international flights is at least three hours prior to scheduled departure.
● Cost of living difference between Orlando and Auckland – Grocery and other consumer prices are marginally cheaper in Auckland, although the rate of exchange can impact those prices even more. A 0.5 litre draught beer will cost just under $5 in Orlando compared to $8 in Auckland.
