Moss Airport, Rygge is a joint public and military airport located about ten kilometres or 6.2 miles outside of Moss, and around 60 kilometres or 37 miles outside of Oslo. It is an international airport that serves Moss, Oslo, and Eastern Norway, in addition to operating as a regional airport for both Østfold and Follo. It functions as a regional airport for Østfold county and for numerous low-cost airlines. Moss Airport, Rygge can handle around two million passengers annually through its 16,000 square metre or 170,000 square foot terminal building, although the maximum number of passengers has never been reached due to a concession limit of around 21,000 annual air movements. It has eight gates and seven aircraft stands. The airport has served 619,000 passengers in 2009, and also provides an airport rail link via shuttle bus that goes from Rygge Station. Moss Airport, Rygge is the focus city for Ryanair; it operates with an asphalt-surfaced runway that spans around 2,400 metres or 8,000 feet in length.

The museum, located at the base of the Holmenkollen ski jump, houses around 4,000 years worth of skiing history through rock carvings, in addition to the polar equipment that Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen used during their expeditions.
