The airport is 15km from the city centre, which is a 15-minute drive in good traffic.

How to get from Brisbane's airport to the city centre

Passengers have a few options to get to Brisbane from the airport.

Taxi: A taxi rank is found outside the arrivals section of the international terminal. A trip into town takes 15 minutes and costs around AU$50.

Train: The Airtrain takes 20 minutes to reach central Brisbane stations and may cost up to AU$20. You can save money by booking your ticket online.

Shuttle buses: Shuttle services through Con-x-ion Airport Transfers take passengers straight to their hotel. This may cost up to AU$30, depending on your destination.

City information

Visitors to Brisbane will quickly come to love the river that runs through the city, finding their way to the bars, restaurants and attractions along its banks the same way the locals do.

One of the highlights is the South Bank. Here, you'll find plenty of places to eat and drink, with regular live music shows and festivals to pop into.
