Don't waste your money!
Don't waste your money.. read on!
We recently stayed at Liberty One and unfortunately had a very poor experience that led us to cut our trip short and leave a day early.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. The floors were clearly not properly cleaned walking barefoot for even a few minutes resulted in blackened feet. There was visible dust and debris under the bed, and we ended up vacuuming ourselves just to make the space tolerable. The balcony was also unusable, with cigarette butts left on the ground and general grime throughout.
Furnishings and linen were in equally poor condition. There were cigarette burns in a chair, stains on dining chairs, and a couch covered with a damaged cover that appeared to be hiding further marks. The bedding had a visible dirty shoe print on it, which is unacceptable in any accommodation.
The apartment itself showed obvious signs of neglect. Scuffed and marked walls (including shoe prints on the ceiling), a cracked kitchen splashback, water damage to the bedroom door, and a hole in the bathroom door from poor design. Towels provided were thin, worn, and even had holes in them.
One of the most concerning issues was the front door. It did not open or close properly, required excessive force, and did not shut on its own. At times it felt like a safety concern, and my partner was unable to open it from the outside. This was raised with management during our stay and we were told it would be fixed the following day.. this never happened.
Wi-Fi was effectively unusable, even for basic tasks like emails.
To be fair, some issues were raised with staff during the stay, including the door and initial cleanliness concerns. However, nothing was meaningfully resolved while we were there.
What’s most disappointing is that this property markets itself as an “exclusive collection of elegant inner-city apartments,” which is far from what we experienced.
Based on the condition of the room, this felt closer to a neglected budget motel.
Following our stay, communication with management was slow and largely dismissive. While they acknowledged some concerns, no meaningful resolution or compensation was offered beyond a small discount for a future stay which we declined.
Overall, this was not a one-off inconvenience but a combination of cleanliness, maintenance, and service failures. We would not stay here again.

The staff are rude not very accomadating they dont answer the phone waited 20+mins for the lift at times you have to vaccumm the entire apartment take the rubbish out and strip the beds before departure the wifi doesnt work at all the room had a wet carpet oddor

Don't stay here
We had booked a room for 6th July-7th July through wotif with 3 confirmation emails. When we arrived we were not welcomed as the reception was full of people complaining as they had over booked. They did not have our reservation & said they don't use woyif bookings. VERY FRUSTRATED we are in Melbourne for our mother's funeral & now have NO accommodation. Very unorganised & unprofessional. With this hotel & wotif DOES NOT secure your booking. My advise is to book elsewhere
