Confortable Middle Age dive

Wonderful place. As a dive into the past in the Middle Ages, you will feel like a time traveller, but in a confortable and very friendly environment.
The rooms are the nicest, all in wood and properly equipped to read at night. Really nice and clean. Common bathrooms also clean and well equipped. Good self-service breakfast.
Strongly suggested. We simply loved it.

Excellent Hostel near border with Lichtenstein

We looked for a place to stay in Lichtenstein but the prices were too high for a family of 3. We found the hostel and booked not knowing what we would find. Our experience was great at this location. They don’t have dorms like most hostels, but our family had clean and comfortable bunk beds, linens provided, breakfast optional (being vegan we had our own). Shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean, separate men’s and women’s. Towels can be rented. Wonderful location, staff super helpful and friendly. Walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets. Excellent experience!

Fabulous old building with very friendly hosts

This is a genuine medieval building, originally an isolation hospital for the city. Half timbered exterior with exposed beams and wooden staircases on the inside. The absolute opposite to a modern corporate hotel its charm lies in its ancient simplicity with every nook and cranny oozing history and intrigue. The hosts are super friendly and speak fluent English. Secure bicycle storage. Children of all ages will be fascinated by this old and picturesque building.

Best Youth Hostel I've stayed in!

This Hostel is a must visit if you are anywhere near the area! For a start, the building is amazing. A half-timbered medieval hospital building, you feel like you're living in a castle! And then, the staff are wonderful! Robert and Silke made us feel very at home, and went above and beyond in accommodating us when we decided to extend our stay.
The location is fantastic: there is a choice of hundreds of ski areas within easy driving distance, and the staff are knowledgeable and informative about these.
Come and stay here! Not to be missed: we will be back!

Charming place when you need a good but cheap overnight

I stayed here with my family for a short holiday. I can say it was exciting and romantic to sleep in this very old historical building. The hostel is clean, warm and comfortable, staff is kind, helpful and willing - we could leave there our bags before check-in and they give us city maps. We got room on the first floor with view to the garden and nearby mountains, so we almost didn´t hear the traffic and I could enjoy the sunrise over the rocks. I noticed some handicaps also: we´ve got only one socket in the room - it caused some difficulties to charge our phones, camera ...etc. The hostel is about 15 - 20 minutes walk from the centre (approx. 1,5 km) what some people can find too far. Generally I was satisfied and would return there again.
