Rats trap

If it was a camping would be ok, also for the price. But as a hotel is out of any qualification. Dirty, shabby, not even toilet paper and wi-fi was just told to exist, non service at all and also the position is not wonderful as it could seem: you are in the middle of nowhere

Disappointed

For £ 60 for two nights, I expected at least basic accommodation conditions. Dirty bathroom, clogged canals, canal hairs, garbage all over the floor, dust! The bed sheets were short and I literally slept on a mattress covered with hairs and dirt! No matter how inexpensive a hotel is, it should meet the minimum criteria. In this case, I saw a total disrespectful and unprofessional attitude towards customers. The only reason to keep a room in this hotel is its proximity to Alexandrovska Hospital, but I do not recommend it! The staff is cozy and courteous as far as they can!

Cheap but dissapointing

I used to think that the hotel is the best option you can get in the capital, since it is in the downtown area and it is cheap. But i had to go several times and on every consequtive visit i find something new to irritate me.
The rooms are fairly clean, but there is no Wi-Fi anywhere, with the exception of the room right next to reception. And they say it has to be, they even give you a piece of paper with a password. But the Wi-Fi is NEVER in range.
There are no heaters and no extra blankets. And the walls are paper-thin, so i was literally freazing during my visits in October, when the central heating was out. I had to sleep with my coat and hat on.
One time they put me in a room with busted lock on the door. So i had to sleep with the room not being closed(for the record, this was the door facing the street, so everyone could walk in anytime). Needless to say i could't rest one bit that night.
And last but not least, the cleaning lady doesn't care if you are out or not- she will try everything in her power to rush in, even if you shout "Occupied".

Poor Hotel and Outdated

The hotel is located close to the centre of Sofia, which is probably the best benefit of this hotel. The check in at the hotel was very slow and also seemed very disorganised. There was paperwork all over the office and we even had to be asked where to go as there was no signage of where the rooms were located. We should have been given this information when handed the keys. We also had to prompt for the wifi code which was almost impossible to connect to and very slow.
I had booked a single room but had ended up with a 3 bed room. The bed was old and not very comfortable. The light in the hallway did not work, the sink in the bathroom had a big crack running through it, The tap handle had also come off its fixing and we did not even have a duvet! Just a blanket and a sheet that we had to make up ourselves. It was really basic.
On the plus side I would say that the receptionist was very helpful when the car got clamped outside whilst we were checking in and helped contact the clamping company to come and remove it. This was very much appreciated and had turned it around the dismal experience earlier.
The hotel needs a lot of work and renovation. We have paid less money this week for higher quality rooms than we received here. The breakfast was very basic consisting of a slice of bread, a piece of meat and a piece of cheese. It was disappointing and I would not stay here again.

Stay away from this hotel.

The rooms are spacious, but the mattresses are by far the most uncomfortable, I have ever slept in and the so announced free Wi-Fi in the rooms doesn t function elsewhere than by the reception area. There is no breakfast available, even as extra possibility, the rooms are not that clean, I had to lock my luggage everytime I left the hotel, and the nearby area is not the best one during the night. The only advantages could be the proximity to the Medical University, maybe 200-300 meters and the fact, that the receptionists are friendly and skilled to speak several languages such as English and German. For 30-35 euro, this place is far too expensive for the Bulgarian standards and the absolute no-go for Europeans.
