Second time staying at Centro. We use this hotel as an overnight stop on a long road trip from BC to Sask. Consistently clean and quiet. Parking is convenient and easy access off the highway. Beds are very comfortable. Staff always pleasant. Highly recommend!

A road side dump with hostile staff

I would probably leave a higher rating if the price was in the range of 50-60+USD/70-90CAN. But I paid nearly triple that, lured by high star reviews and the description, while I could have stayed at other brand properties with breakfast and gym nearby.
Here's the reality: it's still a roadside motel. Very noisy from the main road and very poor insulation between the rooms (mind you they even offer earplugs haha). No breakfast even though it's listed as a 3 star hotel. And here's what really did me in: housekeeping knocked in the middle of the day and I told them I don't need anything. They insisted I open the door. I did open, didn't have a problem with that, but did tell them it was not legal to make me do so unless they suspect illegal activity, in which case they have to call the police. To which the housekeeping guy started yelling at me in a rather hostile way saying that he can do whatever he wants. Definitely not a pleasant aftertaste all in all. I will stay in a chain hotel next time.

It was a great stay. Comfy bed and very clean. It’s definitely a great place to stay while in Calgary. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and very helpful with any needs.

My husband and I have come here a few times over the years and it’s always our go to for our trips home to Calgary. The staff are always so kind, from checking in to any questions we’ve had. Always a pleasure staying here!

Clean, updated rooms despite the outside appearance. Staff helped with a smooth check in process. Limited and tight parking, when we got back after our event, we had to squeeze between cars while another car circled the parking lot and also had to squeeze into a spot.
