Super delicious breakfast

Nice place with fantastic breakfast and okay coffee. The bed was too soft for our taste, but everything else was okay and it was nice and clean.

Good hotel boring food

A very nice and clean hotel with good rooms.
The food was miserable.
Summer buffet for almost 300 kr.
Rarely have I seen such a dull buffet of bread that resembled dry morning bulbs. Slated salad and 2 kinds of meat, one of which was lamb, which not everyone eats, and pork mustard in an indeterminate ugly sauce.
Stay there but don’t eat there

Lovely hotel in special class

Great experience in the beautiful surroundings. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere of tranquility, professional service and comfort. Nice food, entertainment and service at the bar.

Outstanding for the price, but no aircon.

Free parking, the room had the most necessary, but no air conditioning and no ventilation (there was something similar to exhaust, but it had no noticeable effect) ended up sleeping with open window. The curtains were dark enough to sleep until you woke up. No refrigerator in the room.
Great breakfast buffet.

Ipads & stripes on the parking lot

Comwell Kolding is in many ways a really good hotel. There are plenty of parking spaces, great options for charging electric cars, comfortable beds, good breakfast and service-oriented staff. All in all a place you would like to visit again and again.
But there are also a few things that make the arrival feel like a discipline that is not yet included in the Olympic program.
Let's start with the parking lot.
You have introduced rules that the cars must stay within the marked buses, which is of course both reasonable and reasonable. The problem is simply that the marked boxes in several places are so poorly marked that one as a guest must be presumed to be equipped with either night vision, advanced GPS or an especially well developed imagination.
Especially in the back of the parking lot, the stripes are so worn down that after darkness, they can only be perceived by people with a strong belief in the supernatural. If you take an evening walk around the square, you will find that some of the marks are so discreet that they should almost be protected as historical relics rather than serve as road marks.
When you risk a parking fee of around NOK 950 for not keeping properly within the lines, it seems reasonable to expect that the lines are actually visible. It's kind of like holding a spelling test without handing out the letters.
Another point is your new digital check-in solution.
On paper it is sure to be both modern, innovative and effective. In practice, we experienced something more like a municipal public service office on a busy Monday morning.
In front of us stood a Philippine ship crew of 5-7 people who had to register information, present passports, receive information about hotel facilities and at the same time have guidance on shopping options in the area. Of course, it took its time.
At the same time, the young employee at the reception tried to help four German pensioners register their number plates in a system that apparently does not like special characters and must be entered with Danish letters. It is an interesting design decision when operating a hotel in a country that welcomes many guests from Germany.
The result was that we were in line for more than 25 minutes to check in.
After spending about 20 minutes in line on the highway, the mood was not at its peak. At that time, the idea of staying in the car almost emerged as the fastest check-in solution.
I'm surprised that so much information has to be recorded only upon arrival. Most of the data you already have in connection with the reservation. A lot of the work could therefore be done in advance, so that guests don’t have to stand and fill out forms on an iPad while the queue behind them grows and the receptionist gradually turns into an IT supporter.
That's a pity, because the reception staff actually do their best. But the system seems to be designed with what is smartest for the system – not necessarily for the guests.
And that is really the essence of my experience.
The hotel is good. Rooms are good. The beds are good. Breakfast is good. The staff are friendly.
But the arrival feels unnecessarily troublesome.
When the parking boxes are invisible and check-in takes longer than the flight from Copenhagen to Aalborg, the first-hand impression is unfortunately not exactly the same as the rest of the experience. The hotel deserves a better welcome than the one the guests encounter at the parking lot and in the front desk

Hey TSM7856
