comfortable and functional

Hostels generally provide no frills and lots of functional attractions. Danhostel in Risskov is no exception. Our beds were comfortable in a small room with clean bathroom and a small table with chairs outside which we didn't use due to the rain. There's a kitchen with space to store food and equipment to prepare meals. We didn't purchase breakfast which is served in a large hall. The receptionist was helpful. We would've like to stroll down to the sea through the forest, but the weather was crap! The city centre is 3-4 km drive or by bus.

Accommodation on a bike trip

Place with historic atmosphere. There have been hostels since 1938. An octagonal, architecturally distinctive and beautiful main building serves as a dining room. This pavilion dates back to 1869 and was one of the popular excursion destinations for religious Aarhusians in the late 1800s (google ‘Pavillonen Risskov’). Close to Aarhus C. Room a bit worn but ok.

Even linens are extra cost which is way too much for a hostel type of stay , beds were not clean including bathroom
Breakfast provided was very basic , too costly again for a very basic breakfast
I will not recommend this even for a budget stay
