Spacious room
Spacious room, nice location near the Viking Museum. Staff not very nice, value for money breakfast too low

Experience to forget
It's all well and good that it's a hostel but here we are on the edge of decency and hygiene.
Pillows, stained mattresses and sheets, cobwebs all over the building... you know, a dirty feeling everywhere. Not even a hair dryer to dry your hair.
By the way you arrive and you have to make your own beds: everything is fine but paying 165€ for one night (2 adults and 2 children) without even breakfast and having this Processing is really absurd.
Absolutely not recommended!

Right next to Viking museum
Clean and comfortable. They have a washing machine and dryer for 40Dkr each (expensive!). No shampoo provided. Right next to Viking museum. Not a ton to do in Roskilde but it is a nice town and a little less expensive than Copenhagen. About a 25 min walk from train station. Breakfast I’d 95DKr but is quiet good with lots of options and the will provide gf rolls on request. Nice staff.

Disappointing
Our room was dirty, something resembling snot smeared next to one of the beds. The pillows very old. The toilet seat was broken, we reported it, nothing was done. Black mold in the shower. Breakfast was disappointing on the last day, we were told that rundstykker would not be made available until all the bread was eaten. Not very service minded staff. One would think that after three months corona virus lock down, they would have used the time to clean and renovate their rooms, alas No!
On the positive great harbourside location, next to the Viking ship museum.
Recommend you bring your own pillows if you choose to stay.

As expected
I actually haven’t stayed at a hostel before. Had to make my bed as expected. But room was far nicer than I had anticipated, roomy, desk and chair, shower worked well and it was warm. Security was great with a key required for room and the building. The room was larger than a recent Ibis Hotel stay, check in and breakfast Staff were great. I’d recommend.
