Antares

On checking in, Anna was very helpful and offered me a free room upgrade which was very kind. She also took the time to explain the different options for getting to my airport connection which was much appreciated. Thank you for a great stay!

Not great

The towels were dirty. The room wasn’t clean. They put me in the wrong room and then i had to move and staff weren’t very apologetic about this. Not social as a hostel, mix of a hostel and hotel. Wouldn’t recommend to other young solo travellers.

Terrible experience with BED BUGS and Unprofessional Staff

Terrible experience with BED BUGS and Unprofessional Staff, I would not recommend this place for others.
I stayed at this hotel recently from October 7 - October 9 and had a terrible experience. I discovered bed bugs in my room (Room 448) and immediately brought this to the attention of the receptionist. They moved our rooms, but even the second room had bed bugs (Room 446). I even showed them pictures as proof, but instead of addressing the issue professionally, they accused me of lying and said that I got the bites from somewhere else and refused to believe my complaint. Their dismissive attitude and lack of concern for guest safety left a terrible impression on me.
Dealing with bed bugs is bad enough, but the unprofessional response from the staff made things even worse. I expected at least some level of accountability or willingness to investigate, but none was shown. They said my pictures were not from the hotel, even though the bed sheets are clearly the same and I have a live photo and location of where it is being taken. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel if you value cleanliness and good customer service.

Hotel Antares is great

Staff is so very friendly and helpful, my friend and I had two beds booked for two nights in a 6-bed female room but when we arrived they gave us a private room instead for the same price! They have free coffee and breakfast in the mornings and everything is clean and they give fresh towels every day. Great experience overall. Thank you Hotel Antares!

Okay for a short one-night stay

Stayed in the ensuite double room. Room is generally clean & quite spacious. Wifi works well. However, you simply can’t get a good nights’ sleep.
1. You can hear very clearly what’s going on outside the door & window despite it being fully shut.
2. I believe the sewage/piping is concealed behind the wall because I could hear people’s flushing their toilet and the sound of the flush/water literally every other moment throughout the evening. It only stopped until very late into the night when everyone’s goes to bed.
3. It is still chilly in the wee morning of June. The blanket provided was simply a thin piece of linen? Woke up shivering at 4am.
The price is cheap considering it is summertime in Nice & the location is a mere 3mins walk from the train station. There is also a decent supermarket right opposite. I would only recommend this place for a one night stay, catching a next day early morning train.
P.s they provide Coffee Cereal Milk from 8am-10am every morning.
