Good location; better service
Hotel next to the river and just a few meters from subway and train stations. It can serve as a base to walk to museums, parliament, Checkpoint Charlie... well. They are a 20-minute walk away. It has 7 floors and a gym. Varied continental breakfast. Clean, spacious, and very comfortable room (options for celiacs). Excellent staff treatment. Good value for money.

We will for sure return, our stay was top notch!
Arrived early on a rainy Tuesday, had made an booking for an junior suite with access to the Level lounge.
Our suit wasn't ready at the moment but we where given early access to the lounge with was much appreciated. After lunch we had access to suit 818. And was impressed with the layout, the cleanliness and the view from the huge balcony facing the river Spree and the bustling city.
The service was topnotch, not only did the cleaning ladies keep our room clean and filled. They also hade an evening routine to turn down the lights, they put on some soft music, pull the curtains to leave the street lights out. Made the cosy bed ready for some rest, left an small Lindt chocolate on the pillow and some nice slippers on an linen towel next to the bed.
The service in the lounge was also really good, at evenings they also had an open bar and some buffet with some food and so on.
The breakfast in the lounge was also great and much appreciated. An small buffet with almost all you can ask for and also an ala carte menu with different style of eggs, waffles, pancakes and so on.
The hotel is situated in an really nice are of Berlin, close to everything!
We will return and hopefully we get the same suite next time!

Great location, modern rooms & good service.
We had a good 4-day stay in Meliá Berlin. The room was spacious and really clean with daily maid service. Location is perfect with the hotel being a 4-minute walk from Friedrichstraße station and across the River Spree. It is within a 10-minute stroll to all the major tourist attractions. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the area too.
The staff were professional and friendly during the check in and check out as well as always ready to help. A good affordable choice depending on 2hich season you're going. We went during Christmas where everything was expensive.

On arrival, no help parking our car with a roof box, despite my writing to the hotel four days before check in and again that morning. No help with luggage, no welcome. Completely disengaged staff.
We checked in around 20:30 and nobody could help us with food. The hotel advertises room service until 22:00, but there was none, and no menu in the room. We ordered pizzas via Wolt.
Breakfast was good, and the Level 7 executive lounge staff were professional and helpful.
The concierge was of no use and could not print tickets for Berlin public transport. His reception colleague had the same poor attitude. Duvets were replaced on request.
Check out was digital, at least. But although we set it for 09:30, our room cards died at 09:00, so we lost time getting new ones on a busy morning. Walking through reception with three large suitcases, three employees stood behind the desk. Not one offered help. All three just stared blankly. Something is wrong here.
We stayed in the so called Presidential Suite, the hotel's largest and most expensive. The standard does not match the price: several stains in the carpets, a shower door hanging loose and genuinely dangerous to use, and an interior that is anything but contemporary. My guess is the last president to stay here was Erich Honecker.
One star at most, and it goes to the lovely staff on the 7th floor.
I recommend looking elsewhere.

Great hotel. The room was clean. The shower was excellent, the water pressure and Rituals amenities were perfect. The parking gafage mayby was a bit expensive, but spacious enough for a city like Berlin. Last but not least; big choices at the buffet breakfast.
