The restaurant Herzstück in Brilon-Wald is much more than just a treat for me

For me, the restaurant Herzstück in Brilon-Wald is much more than just a treat – it is a place to feel good, enjoy and experience together. As soon as you enter, you immediately feel this warm, warm ambience that makes you feel welcome. The rooms radiate so much cosiness and character that you can drop straight away.
I would particularly like to highlight the incredibly friendly, warm and attentive service. You immediately notice how much passion and charisma is worked here. Every guest is welcomed and accompanied with genuine warmth.
The cuisine is simply exceptional. The concept of “global soul food to share” is modern, creative and at the same time full of soul. The combination of regional ingredients, Sauerland inspirations and influences from European to Arab cultures makes each dish very special. Whether vegan, vegetarian or meat – only the best quality is put on the plate, and you can taste it with every single bite.
The idea of sharing the food together – similar to tapas – I personally think is great. As a result, food here becomes not only a pleasure, but a shared experience. Each dish is served with so much love and expression that you can notice: There's passion behind this.
Actually, you can hardly put this experience into words. You have to taste and enjoy it yourself to really understand what makes the heart so special. For me an absolute favourite place with wonderful cuisine, special atmosphere and people who live their profession with heart. We like to come back anytime and with many friends

One needs a lot of time

We were four (two couples) for dinner at the castle hotel. To start, the food was good. There was nothing to complain about that. Now the "but."
The performance was really poor. We really had to wait a full hour after entering the restaurant before we had our first drinks! And when we had the drink menus, we asked for the food menu. This was denied to us with the statement that we should first toast and then think about the food. As mentioned, we waited over an hour for the drinks and we toasted with water, as the long drinks/cocktails took even longer. The food then arrived about 45 minutes later compared to the drinks. The dessert came very quickly after 15 minutes. The bill then did not come again. We went to the cash register and paid there.
Sorry, we don't need a 2. Sad :-(

Nice little hotel

A small but nice hotel. Our room, which was out back, was beautiful. It was cleaned daily. Even on Easter Day. The breakfast selection was plentiful. The menu selection was also very delicious. The small sauna was very nice. The staff were very friendly ☺️
The hotel is located outside but by bike or car no problem.

Failed wedding party

We experienced a disastrous family celebration before Christmas in the castle hotel with 15 guests. Everything was discussed in time down to the smallest detail. Unfortunately, we were not served the food as agreed. The main courses were not brought at the same time. This process took more than 45 minutes. The accompaniments were missing completely at first, were only brought after another 30 minutes and seemed to be improvised. So the guests who got their main course first had to wait over an hour for the side dish. The service assigned to us was friendly but incompetent. The second person in the service was also incompetent and additionally very unfriendly. The young man could not handle the objectively appropriate criticism, which was discreetly and discreetly voiced in consideration of other guests in the room. He replied that he didn't care. I find this not only unprofessional, but rather outrageous. With an offer in this price segment, I assumed the use of trained personnel and expect customer-oriented support. After a complaint to the manager of the restaurant, who later joined and tried to defuse the situation, a discount was granted, which was deducted without any problems when paying the next morning. The disillusionment came a month later with a bill, with which a large part of the assured estate was now charged. From my point of view, this is absolutely untrustworthy. I give two stars for the beautiful rooms and the appealing ambience of the premises. However, our next family celebration will definitely take place somewhere else and another stay at this hotel is out of the question for me. Because a house where the word is as worthless as a completely failed, amateurish celebration is a very bad choice!

This hotel became my favourite hotel in Germany. Clean, quiet, good condition, friendly staff, tasty food. If only the breakfast could start at 07:00, it would be awesome!
