Great hotel in the countryside with best value for money
We had two great rooms overlooking the Lennebergwald, a spacious bathroom and the best mattress I have ever slept on!
The service is consistently friendly and helpful. In the morning we had breakfast together on the great terrace. The price for breakfast was 12.50 which is really unbeatable! You pay around 4.50 for a cappuccino alone! I can only say that here price-performance is top! The pictures here seem to be out of date & you should really get a personal impression on site. Parking is even free here.

Terrible, don't do it!
The room that was intended for me was in the annex. That is, entrance to the right of the main hotel. That was renovated there, you could see and smell. As a layman, the renovation seemed incredibly unprofessional and, above all, cheap. It's like everything falls apart at the slightest gust of wind, everything very tight and narrow and wobbly. Despite renovation, holes in the walls, carpets were badly laid, the seal on the shower came loose etc. and more generally: everything old, cheap, bacon and worn.
To my room No. 25 on the 2nd floor. Floor: the first thing I saw when entering was just a huge lint on the carpet, then unfortunately a black spot on the pillow and indefinable spots on the bedcloth. In the mini-bathroom, the small trash can was full to the brim, with, for example, a toothbrush. That was too much and I complained directly to the reception, whereupon I got a new room – same part of the building, i.e. same construction sites – this time 1. Floor room 15 was given. This time the bedding looked clean at first glance, which unfortunately wasn't, I also had half-draped towels now on the bed, however one of them was visibly stained. In addition, a broken, almost empty bottle of sparkling water was on the bedside table. The curtain had large and unmistakable holes and stains, as well as the walls, furniture such as the desk were very worn out, in front of it an old worn leather swivel office chair and an old black standing fan. Bath still mini! Mini sink, no storage facilities, hot and cold water in the shower switched etc. By the way, both rooms each had a connecting door to another room through the bathroom ... which was supposed to remain unoccupied.
The disgusting towel and the opened water bottle I then brought back to the reception and this time the young woman I think was already a bit annoyed by my new complaint and made me look relatively wordlessly stupid ... until we agreed on my new address that she should clarify this with the boss. Then got a mail a few hours later, that I was discounted 20 euros, which means: still eighty euros for one night, for the worst hotel ever!
When I came back to the hotel from Mainz in the evening about 8:30/9 p.m., the very large gravel parking lot surrounding the hotel was crushingly full, so I had real problems with my little Corsa finding a gap for me to park somewhere. Since the young woman had unfortunately told me nothing during the day, on my arrival (except the WLan password), I wanted to ask quickly where I have to go in the morning for breakfast. The reception was not occupied, but unfortunately a few men had made themselves comfortable with their beer crate in the reception hall and accordingly it smelled of alcohol there and at least one of the men was already so drunk that he could hardly sit properly in the chair. Then I just scurried by as fast as I could to get to the annex and to my room.
For a short time, there was still music playing outside my window (probably in the empty beer garden), but luckily this didn't last long.
Breakfast was ok ... Next to me (single traveler woman) were only men, obviously craftsmen, in the breakfast room. Checked out early, card payment device was broken, invoice was given to me, otherwise no big words...
Got some videos to prove, the few pictures here are just screenshots and excerpts from these videos... Write a review for the first time ever, but with such a lousy location I have to warn others!
Sorry, not sorry, but I personally strongly advise everyone against this hotel!
