Perfect overnight stay for us

The reception and care from the hotel owners are simply great. The hotel has its charm and is not a new building. Everything is there, from free parking to free Wi-Fi in the room. We didn't miss anything for breakfast.

Warm family hotel

Very pleasant stay as always in wolfs hotel. Stay over this family runned hotel each time when i stay i. Clausthal.
The food and host are super. The hotel look like Nothing fancy. But just feels like home :)

Comfortable and Engaging

We stayed four nights and were very satisfied. Chiara Wolf, the proprietor, was very involved in ensuring our satisfaction. The room was very good size and faced the gardens. While no wifi in our room we were told that up front and told where it was available in the various sitting areas. We had a very good spot in front of a large picture window where the wifi was faster than in Hanover. Very pleased with the speed. Breakfast in the morning was included. Easy walking distance into either Zellerfield or Clausthal centers. Also only 18 KM to Goslar for a day trip.
Chiara also helped my wife with ancestry research and putting us in contact with researchers we could never have found. Then she also translated for us. She certainly went well beyond what anyone would expect.
We would stay here again.

thank you for your very kind review. Always happy to help out. Also for us it is more than interesting to learn about the history of families having left Clausthal-Zellerfeld some centuries ago. Wonderful if, through the church books that are kept so well, we are able to provide more information about the circumstances and even sometimes addresses of way back when that are still existent.

Hosts Chiara and Klaus made our visit more than we ever expected

Warm and welcoming, arrived on a Sunday late to find chef Klaus inviting us to dinner! Excellent food and wines. Chiara so helpful in our endeavours to trace family history through Luthern Church. Chiara arranged a meeting with Mr Haige who had researched our family back to the 1600's. Chiara offered translation and made a big difference in getting all we needed. Rooms warm and cosy. Good wifi in public areas. A great base to set off and explore the Hatz mountains too. Chiara and Klaus speak many languages which is so helpful.

Lovely Family Hotel, Very Hospitable Hosts

I spent one night in this lovely hotel as a solo traveler in September. Claus and Chiara are excellent hosts. Claus is also an excellent chef so I do recommend staying for dinner.
The outside of the hotel is a little deceiving, so do not be put off by appearances as the hotel is large and homely inside.
The location is excellent for exploring the town, the surrounding areas and venturing into the the beautiful Harz mountains.
