Great excursion destination.

We felt very comfortable, sat outside, and enjoyed drinks and ice cream. The staff is super friendly and competent, and the ambiance is totally relaxing.

Beautiful but not for dining!

Very successful ambiance, beautiful sculpture garden. The food is no longer as good as it was under the previous owner; it is bland and tasteless. Some dishes (e.g., trout, mini portion) are overpriced. We felt in the beautiful ambiance like we were in a better fast-food joint. We will not be coming back.

Nice ambience

The ambience was very successful, despite the masses of day guests, the staff seemed to have everything under control. The menu is adequate, but not stunning and tasteful......there is room for improvement

Too bad

We have enjoyed the Gatehouse for 40 years and are now shaken by the change to an atmosphere whose ice-cold, mass tourism-oriented facelessness. Modernization has nothing to do with destruction. It's a shame.

Fine dining in a great location

Very good fine dining in a great location,which guarantees peace and relaxation ,very good food in a beautiful garden with a staff that responds to all wishes.We have been here for years very to satisfaction
