Great food and great rooms in the family-run company

I like to be a regular for almost 2 years now.
From the excellent food in the restaurant, to the courteous service, the beautiful pleasant spa landscape with sauna and steam bath to the extensive breakfast buffet, I can only say the greatest praise.
Even if I stay here mainly for business, I have already made a private detour with partner here to show this great hotel.

A gourmet weekend with outstanding host

Here the guest is still king and you can feel that. We were warmly welcomed and the service was always extremely friendly. Our room was very clean and tastefully decorated, so we felt comfortable from the first minute. In this hotel, the utmost importance is placed on quality food and preparation, without additives. The food was very delicious, nicely arranged, extremely tolerable and at pleasant prices. The homemade ice cream is highly recommended. The wellness area is small but very fine. As can be seen from the other reviews, the street can be felt somewhat annoying. However, we sat outside after dinner and did not feel disturbed as the traffic subsided in the evening. At night or in the morning we did not notice the traffic. This would actually be a point to complain about but the cordiality and natural friendliness of the boss and the staff as well as the price-performance ratio with the offered quality makes the traffic fade into the background. Here you are concerned, also about sustainability e.g. in the rich breakfast and that must be rewarded. Thank you for the nice weekend with you. We will definitely come back.

Short trip

Great hotel, very nice and helpful staff, nice rooms with good facilities, very rich breakfast buffet.
A small shortcoming: the passing main road is relatively noisy with the window open. Personally, however, that did not bother me.

Family-run top hotel with great cuisine and top rooms

Great ambience, first-class cuisine and beautiful rooms await you at the Sauerländer Hof. Very friendly staff round off a great stay here! The wellness area with sauna is great and invites you to linger. The view from the large panoramic window of the sauna is relaxing. It is bearable here!

Example of genuine hospitality

We stayed a long weekend with 5 couples of friends at Hotel Sauerländer Hof, and the whole experience surpassed our expectations. The staff was genuinely friendly and made all wishes possible, were efficient and pro-active. A true example of hospitality.
Food was excellent - breakfast with various choices, all using fresh ingredients - even possibility to make own and fresh vegetable juices. Dinner was excellent as well, with various options (meat, fish, vegetarian).
Rooms were nicely refurbished and very comfortable with good sleeping comfort and nice bathroom. Some rooms are facing the main street or are in side street - those rooms are very noisy when sleeping with open windows. Better to ask for a rom in the guest house with nice terrace and much more quiet.
Own storage room for bikes.
Great experience.
