The Hotel Apart is a clear recommendation for those looking for comfort, style and a quiet location in the middle of Wernigerode.

We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at the “Hotel Apart” in Wernigerode and were completely enthusiastic!
A parking lot directly on site was available. So short distances to the car and luggage.
Already on arrival we felt very welcome. Even the luggage was carried to our room.
The check-in was quick and straightforward. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
The entire hotel (half-timbered building) was once renovated in a stylish and modern way. Our room was great decorated, very clean and the small kitchenette well equipped. The room also included a balcony with table and chairs, as well as an umbrella.
The hotel is within walking distance of the historic market square, so you can easily explore the old town and Wernigerode Castle on foot. The railway station of the Harz narrow gauge railway (for a ride on the Brocken) is also quickly accessible.
Breakfast was rich, lovingly arranged and left nothing to be desired  fresh rolls, lots of fruit and juices, regional specialties and a good coffee.
All in all: The Hotel Apart is a clear recommendation for those looking for comfort, style and a quiet location in the middle of Wernigerode.

Top tip

Great accommodation, the hotel owners super friendly, totally down to earth and always looking after the guest. We have been a guest for years and always love to come back. Another highlight, it is located in the middle of the city. You are immediately in the pedestrian zone.

Lovely apartment for longer stay

We stayed for a week, no complaint at all, good size of the room, balcony, very good breakfast and in the hart of the city but with free on side parking. Wifi works perfect, little kitchen is very handy. Only the shower is bit small so does the water. But it really does not bother us too much.

A Great Experience

The location is simply put perfect. The main street of the city right through a doorway and a cozy quiet courtyard with parking below the rooms. Several of the rooms have a view of the castle which is pretty impressive especially at night.
The staff were very friendly and did absolutely everything to make sure we had a great stay.
The rooms were very clean - the hotel in general was tightly kept.
A few of the employees were not the best English speakers which can make it a bit tricky if you don’t speak English - to be fair though that is nitpicking considering everything else.
We will certainly be recommending the hotel to everyone we know.

A perfect apartment

Highly recommended if you want to stay in a spacious appartment during your visit in Wernigerode.
Ok, the furniture might be a bit outdsted, but that is a minor detail when everything is counted in.
First of all - what a friendly owner/staff. I don't think the word "problem" exist at this hotel. "Use our bikes free of charge". "Do you wan't to go on a hike? Come here, I will make you a route on the map"...
The breakfast was good as well.
And the appartement is placed in the middle of the main street of Werningerode. A very nice town. Free parking in a closed aera outside the hotel.
Again - a very good choice.

If you are using a navigation system, please enter Steingrube 2 as your destination. There is the entrance to the hotel. Please note that bicycle rental costs EUR 15 per bicycle per day. Please note that some of the rooms can be accessed by lift/elevator and some via stairs. The breakfast room with direct view of the castle is located on the 1st floor and can only be reached via stairs. Please note that for insurance reasons, children cannot be accommodated in their parents' bed. Two adults arriving with a child of any age will automatically be upgraded to a Family Room, costing extra.
