Lovely stay
We picked the place mainly because of the beautiful views as it faces Agios Nikita beach.
I can confirm it hasn’t disappointed. Waking up and seeing the sea and the beach has been so nice and then falling asleep listening to the waves.
The room was small but so clean, cool and with really nice blue and green decor to match the sea. We had a little terrace where we would sit in the morning and drink our coffee. The beach is two minutes aways and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants next to the hotel that we all loved.
We read the previous reviews about the shower. Yes the shower is small and the ceiling is quite low but don’t see how this would be a massive issue for people.
It didn’t bother us.

Disappointing
The search for parking space unfortunately takes a long time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The towels are only changed every three days and when I asked once for a fresh towel, as we had to use our towels for flooding in our room after a strong thunderstorm (the balcony doors are not waterproof), I was denied this first and only after a 15 minute discussion and derogatory comments from the cleaner and receptionist did I receive my long-awaited towel. The rooms are cleaned regularly, but our bathroom (toilet and shower) was not cleaned for days. Apart from that, the bathroom is very much in need of renovation.
Unfortunately a very bad experience with the staff and cleanliness.

Unethical
We paid in advance for 3 nights at this hotel. Being Australian, and Australia’s travel restrictions due to COVID, we had no choice but to cancel our reservation. We sent numerous emails to Ostria, asking for a credit voucher or refund. We received no replies at all. Had assumed they had gone out of business, but obviously not, as others are writing reviews for recent months. Totally unethical not to respond, nor to offer us a credit. Every other hotel we’d booked in Greece did so - and we believe it was a Greek govt. directive that they should. Shame on you Ostria! We hope you enjoyed the $$$ we donated to you.

Cheated and mistreated by the reception and the hotel owner
I will try to not go to much details.
1st incident:
Once we entered the room we realised that this wasn't the one we booked via booking.com- booked and paid for triple room but they gave us a double room.
They didn't inform us when they gave us the keys for the room but only when we went back to reception to complain about it.
2nd incident:
They wanted to kick us out earlier than the check-out time explaining that this is according to the covid 19 regulations. I would expect let us know about this the time we received the keys during our arrival. After we complained the owner came very agree to the reception complaining as we are creating troubles and destroying her business.
I hope these kind of businesses will be kicked out from the booking engines in some point so we all avoid situations like this.

Nice view, nice choice.
Agios Nikitas is one of the best places in Lefkada. Ostria is one of the oldest pensions in Agios Nikitas with excellent view of the village and the beach. We had a triple room (two rooms united) with an excellent veranda. Room was descent, premises (and especially bathroom) are old but that was not really a problem. Free wifi was available and was not bad. Personnel was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre. Often there was no hot water.
