The rooms were ready at the exact time they said they would be and they were clean! The staff also kept the bathrooms very clean/tidy every day. The complimentary breakfast was good, had multiple options. Very conveniently located. Overall, would stay here again 10/10

There was sever lack of clear instructions regarding facilities provided, breakfast was okay, free dinner with beer purchase is good but not properly organized. Stay was decent for the price, reasonably clean room and bathrooms.

If you’re heading to Budapest and want a stay that’s fun, stylish, and right in the center of everything, then look no further than Avenue Hostel. This place truly captures the soul of the city — laid-back, social, and effortlessly cool.
Located right on Andrássy Avenue, one of Budapest’s most beautiful boulevards, the hostel is just steps from the metro, trendy cafés, and some of the best nightlife in town. You can literally walk to the Hungarian State Opera or hop on a tram to the Danube River in minutes.
The vibe here is what really makes it special. The common areas are bright, modern, and always buzzing — it’s the kind of place where you meet travelers from all over the world without even trying. The free breakfast (yes, FREE!) is a great way to start the day, and the staff are super friendly and full of local tips that go way beyond the guidebooks.
The dorms are clean and comfortable, with curtains for privacy, individual outlets, and lockers for your stuff. If you’re craving a bit more comfort, the private rooms are surprisingly spacious and perfect for couples or friends traveling together.

Whether you’re a solo backpacker, a digital nomad, or a group of friends chasing adventure, Avenue Hostel is that perfect mix of affordability, community, and convenience. I came for a few nights and ended up extending my stay (because let’s be honest — that’s just what Budapest does to you ).
✨ Would I stay again? Absolutely — it’s my Budapest home base from now on!
