When attention to detail makes the difference...

We stayed just one night in this lovely B&B located right in the center of the town.
Our room was a real gem, clean, with attention to the smallest details, tastefully furnished and comfortable.
I really fell in love with this place... even the alarm clock with the bells in the early morning!

Duct tape solutions

Where do I start?
With the price of 90€ per night for a place that high price with breakfast should be no higher than 45€?
Or with all the missing bulbs in various lamps in the room (4 to be exact), or do I start with the broken duct taped shower and a broken trash bin?
The bells from the near by church will wake you up early and ring continuously for ages (not that it's the owner's fault but as a customer you should know).
The breakfast is standard but the croissants were uneadable.
The maintenace of the place leaves much to be desired.
This place is not worth the money you spend on it.

Scappate altrove

Peccato non poter esprimere un parere complessivo dato che il proprietario, nonostante accordi presi 1 mese e mezzo prima, si era “dimenticato” della prenotazione di ben 8 persone che dovevano alloggiare per un paio di notti, arrivati da lontano per un matrimonio!! Con molta nonchalance e senza essere per nulla preoccupato di perdere soldi di un pernotto di ben 8 persone, con assoluta calma, menefreghismo e senza manco chiedere SCUSA del malinteso (cosa diffusa a quanto pare nel Salento) si è proposto di cercarci un’altra sistemazione tramite Booking.com (cosa che, a saperlo prima, avremmo fatto già noi senza perdere tempo, non c’era mica bisogno che ce lo dicesse lui).
Proprietario a parte ci è andata bene perché l’affittacamere è adiacente a 5 metri manco dalla chiesa che suona campane a qualsiasi ora!! Parcheggio quasi inesistente.
Dato il disinteresse del proprietario a far soldi, la dice lunga sulla qualità del servizio.
Da evitare come la peste!!!

Una vera sorpresa...positiva!!

Comincio col dire che ha prenotato mia moglie e che, quando ho visto dov'era, mi sono chiesto cosa ci andassimo a fare in un tale posto, lontano almeno 20 km dal mare. E invece...dire che è stata una felice scoperta è ancora poco!! Un B&B davvero grazioso e pulito, con camere spaziose e confortevoli, con personale cortese e attento, a cominciare da Davide che ci ha accolto nel migliore dei modi per finire alle ragazze pronte a soddisfare le richieste per la colazione sempre col sorriso...insomma, una vera sorpresa! E come se non bastasse questo, a completare il quadro, non posso esimermi dal parlare del loro ristorante "La locanda di Buck" dove ho provato di tutto, dal pesce alla carne, dalla pizza alla pasta e dagli antipasti ai dolci, il tutto allegramente innaffiato dai vini del Salento bianchi e rossi di un'ottima cantina, coccolati dal personale premuroso e ben disposto, rapido e puntuale e sempre immancabilmente gentile, gestiti da un proprietario che ne è l'emblema! Unica nota stonata: la vicinanza con la chiesa gestita da un prete a cui piacciono molto le scampanate che danno un po fastidio alle 6,30 del mattino! Ma, tolto questo piccolo neo, assolutamente consigliato e con convinzione...sperando, personalmente, di poter tornare presto a godere di tutto ciò! P.S. Dimenticavo: prezzi più che onesti in rapporto alla qualità offerta sia dal b&b che dal ristorante!

Ottimo B&B nel cuore del Salento

Il B&B è situato nel centro di Sogliano Cavour ed è una buona posizione per visitare il Salento, personale gentile e colazione super abbondante. Le camere sono grandi e molto confortevoli.
Consiglio anche di mangiare alla "La locanda di Buck", con cucina tipica pugliese.
