A little gem in the center of Trieste

Boutique hotel located a 10-minute walk from the central station of Trieste.
Professional and kind reception staff.
Well-furnished, soundproofed rooms equipped with every comfort: a well-stocked minibar, a kettle for tea and coffee, and above all, a large bathroom with a spacious shower and supplied with hygiene products.
The breakfast buffet is well-stocked, especially for the savory options: a ratio of 70% savory to 30% sweet. Young and courteous dining room staff.
In my experience, a hotel to keep in mind in the city of Trieste.

Hotel is very dirty

The staff were very nice but the room was dirty and the breakfast was awful, very little choice and what was there was not worth eating. Very dirty bathroom as you can see from pictures, dust everywhere made us cough, did tell front desk, lady said sorry and they would try to do better, well that’s not good enough no compensation for the filthy room we had for 2 night and not cheap, so sad because if they just focused more on hygiene and spending a few more pounds on food then this would make this a great hotel to stay in as it is close to everything.

Great hotel for a multi-day stay in Trieste.

In early June, I stayed for 3 nights with friends at Hotel Solun in Trieste - everyone was very enthusiastic! - The rooms were spacious, the bathroom very nice, and the mattresses wonderful for sleeping. The overall design is very modern - with beautiful contemporary art; the receptionist was very friendly and had very good English skills. I must also mention the young team in the breakfast area - very friendly, quick, and everyone received their selected and very good coffee promptly. The hotel is also perfectly located - you can find everything you want in immediate proximity. The breakfast was enjoyed by everyone - plentiful, all fresh - and beautifully arranged for the pampered eye.

The best hotel reception service I have ever experienced in my life.

The hotel is small but absolutely wonderful. What truly makes it special is the reception team. Fulvio was fantastic, but Alonsa is on another level. She provided the best hotel reception service I have ever experienced in my life. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for such exceptional hospitality!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, well situated.

Hotel Solun is very well situated and is very well decorated and nicely kept. The rooms where spacious, clean and had everything we needing. The bed was very comfy.
Ever staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and we felt very welcomed.
Our only negative which in the grand scheme of things isn't huge but worth noting. It is advertised as having parking, they actually have an arrangement with a carpark down the road and don't have parking on site. While not the end of the world it was a bit of a faff with our bags. Wouldn't put me off staying here by any means but worth noting.
Id happily stay again.
