Horrible experience

Upon arriving at the location, the first surprise: instead of “Villa Tregeste” we find “Ostello Tregeste” written. Perhaps it would have been more correct to use this name on Booking.com as well, so at least we would have had a more realistic idea of what awaited us.
But the best is yet to come. We booked a room “with a terrace”. Too bad that from the room there isn't even direct access to the terrace! The famous “terrace” is simply located in front of the room window, so other guests can easily sit right in front of your window. Privacy? Evidently an optional extra. Calling it a “room with a terrace” is really quite a joke.
No air conditioning and, the icing on the cake, a bathroom that was practically unusable due to a nauseating smell . A situation so absurd that you have to see it to believe it.
For the modest sum of 165 euros, we entered the room and practically left immediately. Congratulations: 165 euros for an experience that we will certainly remember, but for all the wrong reasons.
Terrible experience. Absolutely not recommended.

Rip-off by the sea

As guests at the hotel, we got a table in the otherwise completely booked restaurant. The food was ok. The portions were very small, but the price was very high. 2x appetizer, 3x main course and 2x dessert incl. house wine = 300€ , but the view was great

The most expensive hostel in the world

Evvo the most expensive hostel in the world, with hotel prices and hostel services! No air conditioning, not even a mirror in the room, dirty enough, student style with little taste. The property is generally very nice, sea view, and historic but in addition to this everything is hostel, at 150 euros per night. An unbearable heat in the rooms and a self-service for food services from abandoned autogrill.

Great location

Lovely outdoor terrace with great water views near the Miramare Castle. Very busy seafood restaurant. Pleasant service. You need to book.
