Lots of nature.
On the way home from the memorial service for my father-in-law, I went a little bit and used this inn for the first time. Before we got married, my family was in Machida, and I often went to Okutama by motorcycle when I was a student. It's been 40 years since I've been here. Excuse me, but I didn't have much hope for it because of my old impression of Okutama. I enjoy travelling, so I've checked word of mouth. In fact, when I stayed there, the inn was very nice and the rooms were stylish and beautiful. The background music playing in the building is also GOOD. It was rebuilt in 2015 and relaunched as a third sector operation. Nevertheless, it is amazing that we have built such a fine building on this site. Was the former National Housing popular and a win? Anyway, it is a lovely building. The food is Italian only, it is well seasoned and delicious, and I think young people will enjoy it. There is plenty of alcohol and I think middle-aged and elderly couples can enjoy it. It's just good for women and older people, but it feels small. Perhaps to make up for this, only that time will there be a service of lightly sansho-flavored but delicious cooked rice before the front desk. It is delicious even when cold, so you can enjoy it as a late-night snack. Since I can’t drink myself, cooking is the best part of traveling, so from my point of view, if I wanted to communicate the goodness of Okutama through materials, I would expect Okutama Yamame, Okutama Wasabi, Sansho, etc. I know it will be difficult because of the cost of ingredients, but if you want to communicate the goodness of Okutama, I think you should try these ingredients. It is very good, probably because both the customer service and the private sector are involved, but one thing really bothered me. That's bread served at dinner. The bread itself was warm and delicious, but without butter. I don't put anything on good bread, but my wife likes butter, so I ask the service if they don't put anything on bread. "I said, ""It's going to be buttery,"" so I said, "Give me one,"" and he brought it after a while. No matter how things looked at the time, I could only assume that butter was basically not available and that the system was designed to serve butter when requested by customers. If so, we need an explanation first, and if it's a mistake on Kyuji's part, we should be aware of the conversation and the absence of a plate of butter on the table, and honestly admit our fault. The attitude from above is as if this one had asked for a refill of butter. One of the other things about this butter is that it's disappointing. I asked two young services for butter on this case and they responded in the same way. Breakfast bread, by the way, comes with butter and jam. Hot springs are normal. It seems that Tsurunoyu Onsen is used to fetch water from the open-air bath, but the smell of chlorine makes it less likely that it is in the hot spring, because it is a small circulation. I found that the inn was popular because it incorporated the good points of other inns, such as free coffee service and cooked rice. I was also able to rediscover the natural richness of Okutama, and when my grandchildren were a little older, I wanted to visit them for a walk, such as mountain stream fishing. Please continue to spread the charm of Okutama with Hatosuso as your base.

A regrettable accommodation that stands in superb scenery and is clean and amiable to employees, but forgets what hospitality is all about
It was a trip I'd wanted to stay in before and I'd finally made it, but to be honest, it was disappointing. They're clean, they're likely to put in a decent amount of food, their employees are amiable, but they focus too much on efficiency and reduce too many people. After check-in, you can take all the amenities yourself from the shelf next to the elevator. When he gets to his room and tries to go to the bath, Tanzen is there, but no matter how much Yukata he searches for, he cannot find it. I tried to call the front desk nearly 10 times to see where it was, but there was no answer. I tried it from outside as well as inside, but it plays when I'm too busy to answer. I wanted to finish my bath before dinner, but time passed and I was startled and angry. When it finally connects to the front desk, it is arranged in the back of the elevator away from the amenities, so it is said that it is a method to take it by yourself. The floor was flooring and cold, but there were no slippers in the room, which I later found in the lower level of the amenity shelf near the front desk. Everything has to be found and procured by guests on their own, but there are no staff nearby to ask and the front desk is not connected. I find it extremely unkind and inconvenient for first-time guests who don't know what to do. For dinner, I was shown a seat in the back, but because I didn't have enough eyesight, I had to stand up and speak to him before he could bring me water. The impression that each employee was amiable, but forgot something, was the only thing that stuck. As I was traveling alone, I was now charged more than 26,000 yen. Only the sense of premium remains, and I wonder if there will be any repeats.

You don't have to go far to enjoy a great hotel stay.
I have stayed at similarly priced inns and hotels in the Kanto area, such as Kawaguchiko and Isawa, but this was the best in terms of both facilities and services. I heard that it was renovated 9 years ago, but perhaps because of good maintenance, it didn't feel old at all. Speaking of facilities, it's a small thing, but the service was great, as it was thought out from the customer's perspective. For example, the shampoo bottles in the large public bath had the word "hair" written in large kanji (hair) (I have farsightedness, so I can't see small letters in the dark, which always bothers me in the large public bath). After dinner, the restaurant staff saw me off to the entrance, and they put tape on the sliding doors of the guest room toilets to prevent noise, and there were many other things I felt.
I thought it must be run by a well-known hotel operator, but when I heard that it was run by a third sector company, I thought it was even more amazing. The hot spring was just the right temperature to stay in for a relatively long time, and the food was of course delicious. The dinner menu will change in March next time, so I would like to stay again in early spring. If I could make one wish, it would be nice if there was a counter bar where I could have a light drink after dinner.

We booked this onsen hotel while researching for Okutama' stay. Hotel front desk staff very friendly and cheerful, they handle our check in fast and gives detailed information about room and onsen. Also we dont speak and understand Japanese language but they try their best to make us feel comfortable. The room is very clean. We prefer no cleaning of room for our stay but they exchange towels and amenities everyday. Hotel also provide bottle water every day. Yukata is provided too. On our check out day it was raining and they drove us to the train station. We really appreciate such kind act. We hope to return one day and will definitely recommend this accommodation to friends.

Very special
Seemingly brand new. Amazing view over the gorge. The onsen was very nice. The breakfast was quite nice, Western style, but not overwhelming. They had both drinks and snacks available in vending machines. The lobby was airy, with a deck overlooking the gorge. The hiking path across the river was perfect.
