Starting from Apr 2026, an accommodation tax will be imposed in Yugawara. This tax is charged per person per night based on the accommodation fee for guests aged 12 and above; guests under 12 years old are exempt from the accommodation tax. For a nightly accommodation fee under 50,000 JPY, 300 JPY will be charged per person per night; for a nightly fee of 50,000 JPY or above, 500 JPY will be charged per person per night. This surcharge is not included in the total rate for some rooms and must be paid at the hotel.
