Delightful

Wonderful stay with my family. Perfect central location with the beautiful sandy beach literally in front of the Hotel.
We had a two bedroom self catering apartment with fantastic views across the bay.
St Brelade Bay is quiet picturesque and civilised.
It is very friendly and safe with young kids.
The apartment had a simple but well appointed kitchen with oven, induction hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a laundry and dryer room. ( Bring pound coins).
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Marta always went above and beyond.
There is no lift but it helped me get my steps in.
There are regular buses from outside to get you around the Island.
Waitrose and M and S are at Red Houses a few minutes walk up the hill or a quick bus ride.
Tidal range is very high. Water goes out over 200 m and comes in right up to promenade. Sea is shallow for quite a way out so good for all ages. Some surfing when wind and tide right.
No loud music or antisocial behaviour.
Thoroughly recommend Beau Rivage for a peaceful relaxing holiday.

Five stars- with reservations

Fabulous location- right on the beach. Bus service to St Helier is a couple of minutes walk away and there was ample parking although you have to leave your keys as they double park.
The apartment (one bedroom, balcony) is very comfortable and there is plenty of room and lots of storage space. The kitchen is very user friendly and there’s a full sized fridge freezer, oven, toaster, kettle and microwave. Also plenty of cutlery/crockery/pots and pans. Could have done with a wooden spoon and a salad bowl - we ended up buying our own.
The two balconies are pleasant although we sometimes had to move to the far right one to avoid the cigarette smoke coming from the bar below.
A welcome pack was provided- the two mini bottles of wine were particularly appreciated when we arrived at about 8pm after a very long day!
The apartment is very clean and comfortable and the quality of the towels/linen is great. However the decor is extremely dated: it’s like visiting your granny! Eg shower over bath with shower curtain- not seen one of those for a while; half moon table; old fashioned furniture; tv on a stand rather than the wall. The shower pressure was dismal and the Wi Fi was virtually non existent although it seemed to be a bit better in the bar. The lift doesn’t work and from reading previous reviews it seems it hasn’t worked for years and there’s no intention to fix it. There is also a terrace where residents can sunbathe- a great idea but there were only two loungers - the third was broken and there were several lounger cushions suggesting a few had been removed. There was also a very extensive list of rules and prices charged if you broke something- eg a tenner if a piece of cutlery disappeared. We were terrified we’d break one of the wine glasses so we actually bought our own plastic ones from Waitrose! Obviously we were never going to break or damage anything intentionally but we did initially find this approach rather unwelcoming and we were terrified to spill anything on the carpet!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- Brink was extremely welcoming and the lady on reception kindly allowed us to keep our room till 2pm as our ferry wasn’t until the evening. The staff really make this place - we were really impressed.
However we felt that for the money we paid we would have expected a much more up to date /high end apartment . It is probably priced for the location and the fact that Jersey is home to millionaires and also possibly because we were staying close to the August bank holiday but even so - it was overpriced for what we got.

Amazing location, view of the bay is amazing and rooms are clean, and spacious for families. We came 10 years ago with family and again this year and it’s been updated.
