Visiting friends

We stayed here because we were visiting friends that live in Jurmala.
You get what you pay for. The price is very reasonable and the room clean. There was a fridge, microwave & kettle all really handy as there are 2 good supermarkets down the road. The beach is 5 min walk.
The main tourist area is not near we did walk the beach way all the way but it is about 12km.

Rooms full of flea's and bed bugs. Very dirty

Spend the night there and woke up with flea bites all over our legs and arms. Our luggage was infested with fleas also. Very dirty and all the furniture is realy old and mostly broken. Shower full of rusted parts and broken shower head. Small rooms with small window so very hot to sleep. Reception doesn't speak English also.

Was staying at this hotel couple days ago. Hotel is quet,but keep in mind that it's really (15km or so) far away from Jurmala's city center. Staff is friendly,but don't speak English,so if you are not native or don't speak Russian - might be difficult to communicate. Rooms are not very clean,especially bathrooms.

Для бюджетных туристов

Юрмалу посещали в рамках Фестиваля КВН, в связи с чем цены на жилье не то что кусались, а были просто невероятные. Но нам повезло найти это гостевой дом по невероятно приемлемой цене, но, разумеется, за дешевизну не нужно ожидать звездного уровня. Номера обустроены всем необходимым (кровать, санузел собственный с горячей водой, вешалка, есть даже телевизор). Из явных плюсов - до пляжа было около 5 минут ходьбы, недалеко нашли и супермаркет, бесплатный wi-fi в номерах. Внизу расположено кафе, в котором нас кормили очень вкусными завтраками по умеренной цене (но я так и не поняла относилось ли кафе напрямую к отелю или нет). В 20-25 мин ходьбы ж/д станция, откуда идут электрички до Риги. Из явных минусов - отель расположен почти в самом конце города, до центра минут 20 общественным транспортом, если гулять до поздна, то остается только добираться на такси (которое, кстати, тоже не дешевое). Еще один неприятный сюрприз - это то, что как выяснилось на первом этаже располагалась какая-то баня или сауна, приходилось частенько встречать персонажей в простыне при выходе на улицу.
Подытоживая, мы знали абсолютно точно куда мы едем и по какой цене, поэтому в каких-то моментах были даже приятно удивлены. Если планируется бюджетная поездка, то этот отель наиболее приемлемый из этой ценовой категории (все таки не хостел с удобствами на этаже).
