My Riad experience

This hotel did not match the photos advertised. While the property itself was clean, the rooms are clearly in need of updates and maintenance. The beds and pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s rest.
The most concerning issue was the bathroom, which had a strong sewer-like odor. Unfortunately, the smell lingered to the point that all of my clothes carried it even after I left. This significantly impacted my overall experience.
Additionally, the food offered was not of good quality, so I would recommend dining elsewhere if you do choose to stay here.
Overall, I would suggest considering other accommodations, as this stay did not meet expectations.
Location was perfect in the Medina

Deplorable, mediocre and unworthy

They're crooks. Deplorable management but above all unworthy responses.
Booking are at odds to keep these guests. They changed our booking arbitrarily and refused to refund us.
Then they changed the booking - again arbitrarily - for six months later. Their answer? “not our concern”

Unsafe and questionable accommodation

Before we got there they keep insisting we cancel our tour for a free one provided. When I said that we would do the one we booked he said we would discuss in person and disregarded me. Our tour guide the following day said that they try to get people to cancel for theirs or take a part of their proceeds.
When we got our room, it was a small room on the top floor that smelled bad and not what we paid for. They gave an excuse for why. We decided we didn’t feel comfortable there and when we tried to leave the person who checked us in was blocking us and giving us trouble on collecting back the tax we paid. There were men in the lobby smoking who were directing the person on what to do and it felt very unsafe. When I gave the a one star review on booking.com I received 17 WhatsApp messages and three back to back phone calls. In the middle of the text messages I blocked them and started receiving from a new number and was told I would be “punished by god”. Please don’t stay here.

What a disappointment!

What a disappointment! If the first impression is rather good - the patio of the Riad is welcoming - the so-called “deluxe” room is not really up to the task. Certainly, the zelliges are very beautiful and the ceiling beautiful. But comfort does not follow. A single outlet on each side of the bed is a bit just to plug in both the bedside lamp and the different chargers that are essential these days And impossible to get a multiple outlet. A double bed and 2 single beds, a small wardrobe partly filled with extra duvets. Fortunately we were only 2 because at 4, I don’t know where we would have put all the necessary stuff for a week.
As for the bathroom, it’s just unworthy. No place to drop off your toilet bag, a clogged sink, a curtainless shower with a leaking tap, a mirror fixed to the wall that just fits by miracle, no towel rails except a small rod next to the shower inevitably sprayed, no floor towel, no tooth glasses (there is no glass at all in the room)...
Obviously, the manager has a curious conception of his role. In a well-known hotel, a minimum weekly check-up of each room is required to ensure that everything works. For example, a leaking faucet or a plugged sink is unacceptable.
Breakfasts are only served from 9 am (too bad if you are early...) in the freezing patio in the open air. For some mysterious reason, it is impossible to get the door to the street to be closed.
As for the welcome, it too is quite frigid. But a smile doesn't hurt. In a week, we never inquired whether everything was okay, whether we needed anything. We just feel like we’re disturbing...
