Disappointing experience – hidden charges, poor breakfast,
Breakfast:
The breakfast is basic and fixed – just bread and two eggs per person, nothing else. When I asked for a third egg (just one extra), I was told "not possible everyone gets only two." The cost of an extra egg is minimal, but the inflexibility and poor attitude were frustrating.
Bottled water charge:
We asked for bottled water and were given it without mention of any charge. At checkout, however, I was charged €3.20 per bottle – more than 4x the price of water at the small shop just outside (only €0.80). I told them that if they intend to charge, they must inform guests beforehand. Their reply was "all hotels charge for bottled water," which is simply not true. Many hotels provide complimentary water, and at the very least, a hidden fee of this kind is unacceptable.
Room condition:
· The room had flies throughout the stay.
· Lighting was extremely dim – even with all lights on, it was hard to read at night.
Value for money:
With a room rate of nearly €200 per night, I expect reasonable service and transparency. Unfortunately, this riad failed on both counts.
Location note:
The riad is in the Medina – not too hard to find, but first-timers will definitely need someone to guide them.
Overall, I cannot recommend this place.

Nice stay and friendly staff
Most thanks to Khaleed and Mohammed for their fine hospitality. Did everything for our stay.
Riad was very good for us while we were there for one week and most time no other guests.
We did a lot of walking in Medina and old / new area's of Fes. People were very friendly and helpful when asking.
Hired a city guide and also excursion towards Alps.
Breakfast and diner were very good.
Will recommend this for a week stay.
