10/10 in Marrakech.
Lovely staff, amazing breakfast and a great representation of the Moroccan hospitality. Greeted with a complimentary cup of warm mint tea to cope with the summer heat while the bags were carried to the room, a professional way to get you settled in. The room was already cold down by the aircondition, and there were a complementary bottle of water and some peaches (since they were in season). There was also a mini fridge with some “minibar” items but also space for your own things. The Riad provided a stable WiFi throughout the venue, since all the menus are online (by QR-code) to save paper. The food at La Pergola (the rooftop restaurant) and Le Bistro Arab are worth a visit with their solid flavours and fusions, remember to book ahead . Le Bistro Arab provides live jazz music every evening that can be seen and heard from every floor of the Riads balconies. If you are so lucky to book the spa you are in for a professional and spectacular massage, highly recommend it. The reception knows the city like the back of the hand and can help you plan your navigation through the old streets of Marrakech and even book you the transportation to take you wherever you want to go.
This place is a gem and we will definitely return next time we come back.

The housekeeping staff, breakfast team, and the hotel staff in general: 5 stars! They were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
The hotel's location, atmosphere, and interior: 5 stars!
We did experience some problems with cockroaches in two different rooms, but we were eventually moved to a third room, which was good.
We asked the hotel to arrange airport transfers for us. However, on the return trip they booked a small car that wasn't large enough for us and our luggage. As a result, we had to wait for about 30 minutes outside in 40°C heat before another taxi arrived.

This is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at globally. The authentic experience of Morocco is 100%. Everything from the building itself, to food and atmosphere is amazing. But the true beauty is the staff. What a service and beautiful people. Thank you so much.

Riad Monceau-great experience!

My wife and I stayed at Riad Monceau in May, 2026. We had a wonderful vacation thanks to the wonderful staff at the Riad.
Everyone at the Riad was great. From the concierge, Soufiane to housekeeping staff to the wait staff to the bell hops, all were fantastic. We couldn’t ask for a more helpful and professional staff. Our every need was fulfilled.
Soufiane scheduled several meals and excursions prior to our arrival and set up all transportation to the events, alleviating the need for us to deal with these chores so we could concentrate solely on having fun.
The Riad was beautiful. Kept in great condition by the hard working staff. Meals were very good and the wait staff attended to our every need.
The Riad was romantic and beautiful. Nightly music, beautiful atmosphere, and lively bars kept us entertained. We had a great time!
We will stay there every time we visit Marrakech!

Important information from the hotel
Please inform Riad Monceau in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. Guests MUST be duely informed that Riad Monceau is a music hotel to avoid misunderstanding then complaints. We suggest the following presentation: Founded on a unique "jazz hotel, restaurant & spa" concept, Riad Monceau offers an experience like no other. Located just 100 meters from the famous Jemaa El Fna Square, and one of the most beautiful Arab-Andalusian palaces in the city of Marrakech, Riad Monceau brings together four establishments with music and jazz as their central theme. A boutique hotel & spa with 9 rooms, first and foremost, offering the comfort and services that discerning travellers expect from a charming 5-star hotel. There's also a gourmet restaurant, Le Bistro Arabe, organized around the riad's central patio and pool, where some of the continent's best jazz musicians perform every evening from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Higher up, on the rooftop terrace, is La Pergola, the first rooftop to be created in Marrakech, and one of the city's most popular venues. It's a must-see for jazz lovers and, more generally, epicureans looking for quality yet relaxed dining. Finally, a more intimate affair is Caravan, a cocktail bar where Hanane, Morocco's only head bartender, expertly mixes the ultimate cocktails. Romantic as you wish, charming, proud of a positioning as qualitative as festive, the Riad Monceau is therefore aimed at a clientele likely to appreciate a certain effervescence until around 11 p.m., time at which the restaurants and the bar close their doors, and moment from which the riad finds the tranquillity that befits a charming hotel. The only sounds that can then be heard are those of the birds that populate the immense palm trees that adorn the patio, as well as the abundant vegetation on the terraces, making the "Monceau" the incredible oasis that has earned it its nickname of "nest for lovers" for 20 years now.
