Be careful what you wish for

The room shown on this page was the one we were in. When we checked in the clerk told us it was one of the best rooms. It did not take us long to figure out why. We were in the tower - middle room. Others in our group were not so lucky. Many didn't have any windows or faced the street with a lot of noise. I will review only our room and stay - but just saying be careful where you stay.
Our room had a great bathroom and the bed was beyond comfortable. We overlooked the garden area which had great old time things like a well, old typewriter and cash register. When we needed a place to go for dinner the front office staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and maps.
Breakfast was complete with anything you could want. The staff was a bit slow to refill but patience was rewarded. Coffee and juice were good. Everything was within walking distance and it is truly a hidden gem. You would never think of the great place beyond the gate at the street level.

Not Recommended for Families

Let me start by saying that if I hadn’t been traveling with my friends, this stay would have been very difficult to tolerate.
I had booked a single room, but during my 5-night stay I had to change rooms three times. One night there was no electricity until morning, and the room was unbearably cold. I couldn’t even charge my phone. The next day there was no running water, so I had to brush my teeth and wash my face with bottled water.
Whenever I called the reception, they would respond only about one out of every ten times. The hotel’s Wi-Fi was practically unusable, the milk served at breakfast was sour, and there were many other issues throughout the stay.
If you are traveling with children, I would strongly advise against taking the risk. However, if you are adventurous and can tolerate unexpected challenges, it’s not the worst place to stay!

Not very honest hotel, avoid bookings via agents/online

Booked via booking.com. When we got here, we were charged a different amount (higher) and staff claimed it is normal due to booking system fees. We also had booked a room with hot tub and when arrived they said they were busy so gave us a standard room. Tried to lower the price but they didn’t accept. Felt trapped as it was late to go find some other place… not nice when they take advantage like that…

It shouldn't be named as a hotel at all

It was a very bad experience I
have ever had for my entire life with this hotel !
No one could speak English even a single word. Thanks to the technology you are contacting a human and they give you their phone to translate,
I am Wondering if it is common to work at a hotel as a receptionist .
We got two rooms and far away from each other. When we arrived it was a damp cold night and it was a electric heater didn't work . It took them 2 hours to understand that what we were talking about.
Our luggages transfered from another hotel with broken handle!
Bed sheets were not clean ripped pillow covers. At the lobby were selections of tea bags +hot water At 5 pm i asked for empty tea cup and the guy said we don't have any.
It was no internet at all.
And many many more i can tell you.
Not qualified to be a hotel at all

Overrated and below expectations

Nice central location at the Plaza Regocnijo and close to many great areas in Cusco. Next to the great fine dining restaurant “Chicha” (some of the best food we have had in Peru). Comfortable bed in our Deluxe room.
No english speaking person in the reception and he made a big mess - claimed that we have cancelled our booking even though we had checked in earlier that day with his colleague (and our luggage was even put in the room). First after we found some other Spanish guests, he let us we stay in our room.
No hot water or heating in our room. In addition they had to fix our toilet. They call it a Deluxe room but it is not.
It is 3 stars hotel at Booking. com but I would max give 2 stars. And then I would remove “Plaza” in the name of this hotel. It is very basic and we would never go back. Cannot understand why some other guests have given it a good rating.
