Lovely place to stay ..family run hostel
Nice simple quiet hostel..you gat a good night's sleep..breakfast is good and the hot water is always works..the family are very helpful and give information on the area and tours and transport. I stayed 2 weeks and would stay again.great value for money.

The worst hostel where I've ever stayed - NO WATER, INSULTING OWNERS
This place is truly awful. Do not stay here!!!
When we stayed at this horrible place, there was no water. No water for having a shower, nor washing your hands, not even to go to the toilet. The owner said that this was normal in budget accomodation. I've never stayed in accomodation without water.
For this reason, we left the hotel. Obviously, we wrote a negative review of the place on Booking.com. The offended owner decided to send extremely offensive insults to my partner's private phone number for having written a negative review.
Our review mentioned that the rooms weren't clean, the hotel had no water and that breakfast apparently wasn't served on Sundays even though it should have been included.
To recieve personal insults from the owners is beyond the pale. It's unbelievable that they stalked my partner online in order to insult her.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you avoid this awful place at all costs.

DON'T STAY HERE
Absurd - I arrived in Cusco in the afternoon and, after clambering up the steep steps to this place, waited AN HOUR ringing the doorbell (which I don't think works) and banging on the door. No one came. I was unable to check in and was left wandering the streets of Cusco at night and alone to find a new hostel.
I've had times where I showed up at a hostel and had to wait around a little, and I also don't mind wandering around or climbing steps. In general I think I'm pretty tolerant of all of that. But to simply be completely absent without any forewarning is just ridiculous.

Good Budget-Concious Option
The staff here are very helpful and friendly, and there's Max the cat who is also there to greet you every day! Breakfast is included and is much better than a lot of other hotels' offerings. You get the usual bread and jam, with tea and coffee, but they also had eggs and crepes. The location is close to everything, but far enough way that it is quiet. The walk is all uphill or stairs, but it gives a nice view of the city below. We had a private bathroom in our room, but the shower only sometimes had hot water, so we just used the shared bathroom to shower which always had hot water and was always clean. My one complaint is that our room was quite cold, so at night we usually slept with some extra clothes on.

Charming hotel
We stayed for 1 night in their four bedroom. Room is spacious and we get to have our own bed instead of usual bunkbed. Staff is great. Great communal space with excellent view of san blas area. Minus one star for the bathrooms. While there's one each floor. Hot shower is only available on the second floor during our stay. Otherwise, great budget hostel.
